Sheriff's Department Positions 

Road Deputy

The Crawford County Sheriff's Department is currently accepting applications for the positions of Road Deputy.  This position is assigned 12-hour rotating shifts and work 168 hours a month.  The positions rotate between day and night shifts every 28 days.

Applicants must be at least 21 years old and be a high school graduate or have a high school/GED equivalent.  Applicants must be free of any felony convictions and possess a valid Missouri driver's license.  Applicants must undergo pre-employment and periodic drug screening and submit to a thorough background check, which includes previous work history and references.  Deputy applicants must possess a Missouri Class A or B certification as a peace officer.

Starting annual salary for POST certified deputies is ....$29,640.00 

Additional benefits include health insurance, uniform allowance and 12 annual paid holidays.
